Product introduction & Application:
Silex balls are high purity (silicon content>=99%, Fe2O3<=0.018%), hard, durable, and have a high resistance to wear and tear, making them ideal for use in the manufacturing of insulators.
In addition, silex balls are as well as used in the Sanitary ware industry, Tableware industry, Tiles, Daily ceramics, etc.
Silex balls as the grinding media, for the porcelain insulator industry, every component has an impact on the electrical properties, thermal conductivity, thermal stability, and other aspects, as follows:
First, SiO2: The SiO2 content will influence the electrical conductivity of the porcelain insulator. The higher the SiO2 content, the better the performance of insulation, but the impedance value is relatively high, which will affect the electrical performance.
Second, Al2O3: The Al2O3 will influence the thermal stability and strength. The higher the Al2O3 content, the stronger thermal stability, but the physical strength will be corresponding reduced.
Thirdly, Fe2O3: The Fe2O3 content in silex balls will influence the color and appearance quality. When the Fe2O3 content exceeds the standards, the final products will show bad grey, yellow, or red, affecting the appearance quality of the products.
Finally, MgO: The MgO content in silica pebbles will affect the thermal conductivity and coefficient of thermal expansion. When the content of MgO is higher, the thermal conductivity and thermal expansion coefficient of insulated electric porcelain are higher, which can improve the performance of insulated electric porcelain in high-temperature environments.
Technical indicator:
Product features of Silex Balls for Porcelain Insulator Industry:
High SiO2 with low Fe2O3 contents
High density, high hardness, high wear resistance and low abrasion
Good roundness
Consistent specification
Chemical stability
Customizable
Comparison report:
Under the same test condition, test report from our Japanese customer show the difference from our Dalian pebbles & French pebbles:
Density: 2.68g/cm3 of Dalian pebbles higher than 2.62g/cm3 of french pebbles.
Wear loss: wear loss of Dalian pebbles is 40g, less than 50g of french pebbles.
Our advantages and services:
Dalian Gaoteng was established in 2000, has rich export experience, cooperate with over 200 customers, often export to Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, the middle east…
