Zirconium-aluminum composite grinding balls, also well known as zirconia toughened alumina grinding balls (ZTA), are one of the high-performance grinding media made by combining the properties of zirconia and alumina materials. They are produced through a high-temperature sintering process; the formed material has superior properties, well-suited for all kinds of grinding applications.

High hardness: With a Mohs hardness of 8.0, which is much higher than that of traditional steel grinding balls, it can effectively grind materials with higher hardness, such as ceramics, minerals, and pigments, etc.

Superior wear resistance: Compared with other grinding media, Zirconium-aluminum composite grinding balls show superior wear resistance. It can maintain spherical shape and dimensional stability for a long time, even in high-impact grinding environments.

Enhanced toughness: Due to the zirconia material with excellent toughness, the addition of zirconia enhances the toughness of the composite material, decreasing the risk of breakage, to prolonging the service life of grinding balls.

High efficiency of grinding:  The surface of ZTA is smooth, which can reduce friction, so that to improving grinding efficiency and achieving faster grinding and lower energy consumption.

Outstanding corrosion resistance: This grinding ball has a high resistance to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals, and can prevent contamination or degradation when grinding various raw materials.

Environmental protection: Zirconium-aluminum composite grinding balls contain no harmful substances and can be recycled after use, with a much lower environmental impact than other grinding media.
